Two weeks after the successful FIA World Karting Championships, Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser will prove himself again at the WSK Open Cup. The HUMDA Academy driver is in his first season in the OK category this year, but as we saw at the World Championship, he is in very good form. <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

After the FIA European and FIA World Championships, the OK field returns to the WSK series, with the last one-race event of the year, the Open Cup, taking place from September 28 to October 2 in Lonato, Italy. <\/span><\/p>\n

An interesting feature of the race will be the return to Lecont tyres, which require a completely different driving technique, after the MG race tyres used in FIA events. <\/span><\/p>\n

For Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser, this will be the third race for DPK Racing, with which he has completed an Italian championship event and the world championship. He has done very well in both races and is therefore justifiably confident ahead of the Open Cup. <\/span><\/p>\n

“The World Championship went very well and I want to carry that momentum into the WSK Open Cup,” said Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser, “This is my first season in the OK, which is a very strong category, and anyone in the top 20 is capable of winning. <\/span><\/p>\n

My goal at the beginning of the year was to make the top twenty. I did that for the World Championship. There I was able to fight absolutely with the front runners. That’s why I’m really looking forward to this weekend’s race. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since the spring we’ve been racing on MG tyres at FIA events, now we’re back to Lecont. I was on these tyres at the beginning of the year, so it’s not a problem, one or two free practice sessions should be enough to get used to it. <\/span><\/p>\n

After the World Championships, I set myself the goal of finishing in the top ten in the OK category, and that’s what I want to achieve now.”<\/p>\n
