Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser got off to an excellent start and improved positions in every heat at this year’s first WSK Super Master Series race in Lonato, Italy.<\/b><\/p>\n

\ufe61 WSK Super Master Series \u2013 Round 1, Lonato (Italy), 26-28 January 2024.<\/em><\/p>\n

After a two-month break, Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser was back in action in the first round of the WSK Super Master Series, where he had to prove himself in a very tough field of 54 KZ2 drivers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since he had changed teams during the winter, the first race together was all about getting used to each other. During the free practice session they tried out several karts to find the best one for him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He finished 11th in his group in qualifying and then steadily accelerated throughout the weekend. He had an excellent start, improving positions in each heat (he was only demoted in the third qualifying session due to a front spoiler that fell in).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

His best form came in the semi-final, where he moved up six places to finish sixth.<\/p>\n

“It was good to be racing again,” smiled Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser, “It was my first race with the team and the new engine tuner. In this category it’s all about the little things, so it’s important how you can work with your team. We’ve made a lot of progress in that area this weekend. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

KZ2 is the first category where we start from a standing start. Last year I had the least experience with standing starts, but now I’m getting better.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Qualifying could have been better, but after that we improved every heat. I’ve also been better at overtaking than last year, so we’re on the right track. We want to get even better results soon.”<\/p>\n

The next round of the WSK Super Master Series will take place from 9-11 February in Cremona, Italy. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
