Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser winged it at the Italian Kartsport Circuit’s weekend in Franciacorta. He started the second race from penultimate position due to a starting accident, but with 23 overtakes he moved up to 6th, while also setting the fastest lap.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

On 19 and 26 October WSK Final Cup championships will be held in Lonato and Franciacorta. Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser was preparing for these events at the final round of the Italian Kartsport Circuit series in Franciacorta.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to preparation, the programme included kart and engine tests and it was also his first race in KZ2 on MG tyres.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the conditions, his pace was already good in qualifying, finishing third in the 30-strong KZ2 field and first in U18 classification.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After starting from third position in the first race, he had a good chance to win, but he had an accident and crashed out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the second race he started from second last (29th) and really soared. In the 20-lap race he improved 23 positions to finish 6th, while also setting the fastest lap of the race.<\/p>\n

“It was a good race, I really enjoyed it,” said Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser enthusiastically, “The field was obviously not as strong as at the World Championships or as it will be at the WSK this weekend, but in Italy you can always fight against good competitors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We tested several karts and engines during the weekend, and in KZ2 it was the first time I raced with MG tyres. It was a new challenge, but I quickly got the hang of it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My pace was good in qualifying, I could have been a bit faster, but I’m still happy with third place. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the right move in the first race, I had an accident right at the start and crashed out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This also meant that I started the second race from 29th place. From there I came up to sixth. Overtaking 23 ahead in a KZ2 field is not bad. I also set the fastest lap.<\/p>\n

I gained a lot of experience this weekend and it was great to fight with the others in the field. I feel I’m in good shape and we’re ready for the WSK Final Cup.”<\/p>\n
