In only his third KZ2 race, Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser ‘s racing programme continued in the biggest and strongest field of the World Championship. Once again, learning was his main priority.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

FIA World Karting Championship, Wackersdorf, 7-10 September 2023.<\/em><\/p>\n

The World Karting Championship traditionally consists of one race, which is the highlight of the whole season. Usually, it is after the World Championship, not at the end of the season, that the drivers change categories and start preparing for the next year’s World Championship.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Menyhert Kr\u00f3zser, this preparation process takes place at a different pace, as he made his KZ2 international debut in the summer, so this year’s World Championships was more part of his development programme than the highlight of the season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this respect, the World Championships are also an excellent venue, with a very strong field of 119 drivers in KZ2. Due to the large number of competitors, each driver was able to participate in seven heats, which meant seven standing starts and seven races.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“The world championship was also a preparation race,” said Menyh\u00e9rt Kr\u00f3zser, “My qualifying went well, and for my third KZ2 race I think my pace was not bad. In the heats I was able to race against the best in the world. I learned a lot this week as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My starts weren’t perfect and it’s becoming more and more obvious that you have to overtake in a different style here. There are some very serious, experienced and skilled rivals in this field and it’s a huge challenge to race against them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I want to practice my standing starts before next race and then I can make another big step forward.”<\/p>\n
