Menyhért Krózser got off to a good start in his last race of the season at the second round of the WSK Final Cup in Franciacorta. In qualifying, he had a string of purple sectors and did well in the heats, but was knocked out in the semi-finals and had to fight his way up from the back of the KZ2 field.

A bitter cold greeted the field in Franciacorta, where it was only two degrees in the morning. Under these conditions, there is a minimal temperature difference between the racing line and the rest of the track, making it very difficult to get the kart to grip outside the racing line.

This is why the qualifying session was so important, where Menyhért Krózser soared, spraying the purple sectors and finishing in the top three. But by the last lap he had lost grip and finished eighth in his group.
The two heats went well, he definitely improved his first lap performance, which he wanted to work on the most, and improved one position compared to the qualifying.
In the semi-final, however, he had an accident in the third corner, being pushed from behind and breaking both his rim and axle, which meant he could not continue.

In the final he started from P22. In the experienced KZ2 field it is not easy to overtake, and now it was a particularly difficult task to go off the racing line because of the cold asphalt. Nevertheless, the MHH Kart Team driver improved three positions.
“All in all, we had another very good weekend,” said Menyhért Krózser, “My pace was good in qualifying, I should have timed it a bit better, but it was my first time in KZ2 on these tyres in such cold conditions, so I learned a lesson from that.
The heats were better than the previous week. I wanted to improve on my first lap performance. I did that, but obviously with a few more races of practice I can do much better.

Unfortunately, I was knocked out in the semi-final. That’s part of karting. In the final I had another good first lap and improved three positions. I am far from satisfied with the result, neither with qualifying nor with the final, but I feel that I have improved a lot this time and I am very close to the top of the class. With a little more routine, the results will come.
I would like to thank everyone for this year. We’ve come a long way with the team and I’ve improved a lot in the last few months. We’ll continue next year.”
