Menyhért Krózser: pole position, track record and three wins

Menyhért Krózser gave it his all in the second KZ2 race of his career in Bruck, Austria, where he took pole position with a new track record. He won the semi-final, final and super-final, and set the fastest lap in all three rounds. The MHH Kart Team driver could not have won more in a single weekend.

MNASz National Karting Championship, Bruck (Austria), 9-11 June 2023

40.219 seconds, with an average speed of 105.622 km/h. This is the new track record for the KZ2 at the SpeedWorld kart track in Bruck, set by Menyhért Krózser in the third round of the MNASZ National Karting Championship.

Menya switched from OK to KZ2 this year and was already very fast in his first test. After his first race in KZ2 in May, he said that he still had to practice the dtanding start and everything would be fine. Now he has made good on his promise.

“We had a very good weekend,” smiled Menyhért Krózser, “We practised the standing starts in Kecskemét after the last race and I already felt then that we were going to have a good weekend.

In Bruck it rained during the free practice and there was a dry track. I gained a lot of experience on both. In qualifying I set a new KZ2 track record, which could have been even better if I hadn’t had to overtake on my fast lap.

I won the semi-final starting from the front. The final was a bit of an adventure. Here the start procedure was longer than I expected, my engine got sucked in with petrol and stalled at the start, so I dropped back to fourth place. I came up to lead in three laps. In the superfinal, everything was fine again and I won by 12 seconds.

It’s always good to win, especially to set a new track record, but I’m now concentrating on the next task. I feel like I’ve got the basics of KZ2 down pretty quickly, now it’s time for a test in Italy and then I want to prove myself in a serious international field.”
